Students will be finishing the last chapter section of "Swallowing Stones," Ch. 21-25. This work includes:
-Vocab
-Reading
-Book work
They will also be starting work on the final project for this unit - a "One Pager" assignment.
All resources for this unit are posted on Google Classroom. | Students are starting a new unit in Social Studies: The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (Ch. 3)
This week we will be completing:
-A discussion and intro notes about the Charter
-An "Eye Spy" activity (finding specific rights in the Charter)
-Take notes on specific human rights and citizen responsibilities
| This week we continue to work on our Rational Numbers Unit.
We are focusing on operations with fractions, including negative fractions.
See D2L for review of Operations with Fractions, Decimals and Integers. And new assignments as we go. | This week students will begin their new unit by classifying matter as well as identifying chemical and physical properties of a substance.
This will also include a lab in school and some weekend online homework. |
Thursday, Nov. 19 will be a half-day (12:00pm dismissal), and there will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, Nov. 20. This is due to our Student Progress Conferences taking place those days.
